We acted for the Steering Committee of lenders under the Super Senior Revolving Credit Facility on Intrum AB's recapitalisation which closed on 24 July 2025. The transaction was implemented by way of a pre-packaged Chapter 11 and a Swedish reorganisation plan and effected a rescheduling and restructuring of Intrum's c.EUR 4.5 billion bond, revolving and term loan debt. Intrum is a leading provider of credit management services in Europe. Clifford Chance advised the Steering Committee, and security agent, across ten jurisdictions. The Court has ruled that the courts or tribunals of the Member States must be able to carry out an in-depth review of arbitral awards for consistency with the fundamental rules of EU law.
